WORKSHOPS

Many people feel that theatre can be distant, difficult, or disconnected from their own experiences. Kickstand Workshops aim to change that.

Our workshops bring stories to life through performance, improvisation, and storytelling. Participants step into the worlds of well-known texts and characters, reimagining them in a contemporary context and making the work their own.

​

We explore the timeless themes at the heart of these stories - friendship, courage, pride, love, ambition, and imagination - and show how they remain just as relevant today as when they were first written.

​

By the end of each workshop, participants will have a deeper understanding of the text or theme explored, alongside greater confidence in using creativity, performance, and collaboration to express ideas.

SCHOOL WORKSHOPS

Our school workshops are designed to support curriculum learning in an active, engaging, and creative way.

​

We use performance, games, and devising techniques to explore classic texts and storytelling in a practical setting. Participants are encouraged to step into characters, reimagine scenes, and connect themes to the modern world.

​

Workshops can be tailored to specific texts or topics being studied, making them flexible and adaptable to different learning needs.

Age range: KS2–KS3 (ages 7–14)
Group size: Up to 30 participants
Duration: Half-day (3 hours) or Full-day (5–6 hours)

Pricing:

  • Half Day (3 hours): £320

  • Full Day (5–6 hours): £460

  • 3 Full Days (across the academic year): £1,300

  • Bespoke packages available on request

ADULT AND COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS

Our adult and community workshops are open to all experience levels, from complete beginners to experienced performers.

These sessions focus on creativity, collaboration, and storytelling, offering a space to explore performance in a relaxed and supportive environment. Participants are encouraged to experiment, create, and develop ideas through improvisation and group work.

​

Workshops may explore classic texts, contemporary themes, or original devised work, depending on the group and focus of the session.

​

Age range: 16+
Group size: Up to 20–25 participants (depending on session type)
Duration: 2–3 hours or full-day intensive options available

Pricing:

  • Community Workshop (2–3 hours): £12–£18 per person (or fixed group rate on request)

  • Full Day Intensive: from £250–£400 depending on scale

  • Custom workshops and ongoing projects available
